Meet Marc Boldurian '88

About Marc

"Cooperation is the thorough conviction that nobody can get there unless everybody gets there." – Virginia Burden

My name is Marc Boldurian, class of 1988. I am the President of the HTHS Alumni Association. I graduated from Ashford University with BA degrees in Social Science with a focus in education, Child Development, Child Psychology, Sociology, and my MA in Special Education. I have worked in the fields of construction, special education, engineering, for the past 30 years. Currently I work for the Pro Football Hall of Fame as the National Director of Youth Football Programs. Haddon Township has been the heart of my memories, educational experiences, and relationships that have shaped my life into what it is today, well-rounded, compassionate, and supportive. This is what I have come to know as the Haddon Township way. It is this way that encompasses the true character of the community while being the main reason in my opinion what separates Haddon Township from its neighboring towns. It's small-town values, historic character, scenic beauty and sense of community, are staple points that sustain a prosperous and supportive economy. The people of the community are friendly, regular everyday people, not pretentious. The schools are exceptional.

To me, Alumni has an essential part in the development of Haddon Township. There has been so many prestigious men and woman who walked the halls of our high school and moved on to become extraordinary impacts on our community and our nation. The strength of the alumni is its numbers. We stand around 11,000 alumni. Our diversity is as deep seated as our interest in helping our younger generations to connect with success. The broad rage of professional fields holds value in the needs for our children and community. They promote the core value of the HTHSAA of mentorship through unity, commitment, integrity, and community. Alumni may be the most underutilized resource available to our schools. It’s time to reimagine outdated alumni programs focused on reunions and Facebook groups. It’s time to reinvent alumni programs- focused on alumni helping and inspiring student and teacher success. Alumni have walked in the shoes of today’s students so they understand the challenges they may be facing from being the first college-bound student in their family; learning English as a second language; choosing between in-state or out-of-state tuition; and applying for scholarships. As college knowledge guides, alumni can: be inspiring role models, help organize life knowledge workshops, volunteer to help with all needs of Haddon Township, support scholarship through recurring donations. As the personification of their HTHS’s efforts and success, Haddon Township high school alumni are proud graduates who celebrate their school and community.

There are examples from across the country of our alumni making a difference to promote whole child growth, school improvement, and community citizenship. Your voice and support is needed now more than ever. Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results. Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.
